Advertising and Marketing (EOC 4)

Many people make the mistake of thinking Advertising and Marketing are the same thing. They are, however, two complete different words.

Advertising: a public promotion of some product or service, the business of drawing public attention to goods and services
Marketing: selling: the exchange of goods for an agreed sum of money, the commercial processes involved in promoting and selling and distributing a product or service;

As you can tell they are two completely different words, however, they are as equally important in a business. One could not work without the other. They are both fun and they required a lot of work. They go side by side. To make advertisement work you need to know your marketing. Determine who your customers are and focus on them. Know what you are truly selling, which is probably not just the product but an easier lifestyle, or natural beauty, etc.
Marketing is also done by steps. You need to analyze the product and the situation. Next you need to form a strategy and you need to make decisions towards your product. Finally you need to take control of the product.
